University Clubs in Korea

Sometimes university life can be a little bit boring, isn't it? Listening to classes, doing assignments, preparing projects, etc. However, we have university clubs! Not every Korean university has clubs exclusively for foreigners, but I'll tell you about my experience with them the good and the bad ones... Let’s go
When I first came to Korea in 2019, there was a club at my university where Korean students and international students shared their cultures. It was incredible fun, and I made good friends during that semester. We used to hang out a lot, did a lot of cultural activities and even went to an MT (one night where students or members of a club spend together, do a lot of fun activities, and of course drink). In that club, I had the best time of my life, to be honest!
But as I told you not all experiences are good... in my second year I joined a lecture club, boring right? It was really boring. However, since my friends were part of the club... we did some fun stuff like going out and playing a lot during the club meeting hours. But, on the second hand, I didn't meet any new people or socialize a lot... soooo in my opinion don't join a lecture club if you want to meet new people!
However...the worst experience that I had was in my junior year, at that time I joined a DIY club, and at the begging, I was all down for it since I like handcrafted stuff, but I didn't imagine that the people that joined that club would be so cold. Since it was a DIY club I supposed that most of the members would be I people but they weren't interested in foreigners tho, it was like I didn't exist for them.... So I just left the club after the 5th week. Not recommended tho
As I told you earlier is better to join a club where people will be more open about meeting foreigners or want to travel, they are more approachable and you'll find really good friends and make amazing experiences. Believe me
