Hi, my name is Gaby, and I'm a 4-year student at Semyung University in Jecheon, a place 2 hours far from Seoul. 

My last 3 years of school were chaotic, from having online classes to going to the university and having face-to-face 

ectures and all the problems that covid generation has experienced. However, during these first 3 weeks, I discovered 

that this semester will be incredibly challenging compared with the last ones.

Maybe you will be wondering more about this capstone design. In my case, since I'm studying Environmental Engineering, 

our project is related to environmental remediation and bio-materials which means we need to do a lot of research and 

experiments to complete the project and finally present it to our professors same as a thesis defence, but not all the capstone 

projects need to be that complicated; for example, in my university 

heater degree students need to perform a play that will be open to the public and professors will rate their performance. 

Or Law students that recreate a trial with real examples. One thing more that I found interesting is that students don't choose 

the topic of the project, instead the professor in charge will give it to you and your teammates, making the process a little bit easier. 

So, even though this new term can seem complicated because of this project, don't worry, you have 3 years to prepare for this, 

plus, you aren't alone. You can always ask your teammates or seniors and professors for help, and who knows; maybe this project 

can help you in the future. 

Also, I wanted to introduce it to you since the first time I heard about it, I was really scared cause I didn't have any idea about it. 

So in your journey to come to Korea as an international student, you can prepare yourself for everything related to Korea and studies.
